Chihuahua skeleton

38 x 25 x 17 cm

Confronting the universal population of the yoga practice by man, Yogi Dogi, presented by a real skeleton of Chihuahua, the smallest existing canine, is fashioned in a lotus position. In a satirical manner, reversing the roles where humans mimic animal poses (downward dog, anyone?), here we have a Chihuahua imitating human doing yoga. Between the animal kingdom and the human kingdom, the boundaries are blurred and confusion often allows. Imaginations run wild and bizarre scenarios unfold, especially in cinema. One has to look no further than “Grizzly Man” by Werner Herzog.
