Meteorites

Météorites, 2009-

Ceramic, metallic glaze

28 x 46 x 31 cm

In Meteorites, the form mimics a rock that has undergone a series of collisions with other planetary objects. In reality, a chunk of clay has been be shaped and impacted by throwing of pétanque balls. The impressions left by of the balls can be seen on the concave surfaces of the form as a memory or scars of the event that took place, and the negative space and the positive object (force) are permanently linked together.
